About Me

My name is Rachael Klug

I am a trained therapist and supervisor.

I work with a range of age groups, from 8 to 80 and specialise in working with late teens and young adults.

As a Neurodivergent person, I also know the importance of having a space that feels accepting and offer Neurodivergent- affirming therapy.

My Professional Body Memberships

I am an Accredited member of the BACP, that’s the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I work to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice.

I am a senior professional member of ACTO, the Association for Counselling and Therapy Online, as well as a Director on the Board of  ACTO.

Previously, I was responsible for the Children and Young People division, and oversaw the writing and publication of the Competencies for Working Online with CYP.

Currently, I am responsible for ACTO's Research and Development division and am leading the rewriting and publication of ACTO's Competencies for Working Online.

 My Training

I was awarded a Master’s degree with Distinction in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy with Children and Adolescents from Birkbeck College, London in 2011.

I have also been trained and have worked in person-centred counselling and have spent some years working as a volunteer counsellor at ChildLine.
I was awarded a Diploma with Distinction in Online Counselling and Therapy with distinction from the Academy for Online Counselling and Psychotherapy and I aim to provide the best practice online. Working as a therapist and counsellor online is different from meeting face-to-face and this specialised training is equipping me with the essential skills for an online practice that creates a safe and confidential space for my clients.

I am trained to deliver Adapted Mindfulness-based Interventions with the Sussex Mindfulness Centre.

I have trained to work with Neurodiversity with both Aspire Autism Consultancy and with PESI.

I have also trained to work with those recovering from Trauma, including dissociation, PTSD and complex PTSD.

I was awarded a Diploma in Supervision with Online Counselling Services and Training.
